Parsippany, NJ – The NJ Chapter of IFMA held its “Tour of Wyndham Worldwide Headquarters” event on Wednesday, November 18, 2009. A total of 80 people attended this informative event. The event started at 5:30PM and concluded at about 8:00PM.
The purpose of the event was to show the audience how Wyndham has created this wonderful environment that is green, healthy, and expresses the Wyndham brand for employees and visitors to be connected and engaged in a variety of settings in this building. From their workstations to their offices, to special places like retail coffee shops (this one is an actual model that is available for franchisees to put at their hotels, and was designed by Michael Graves), to their well-equipped gym, this is more like a village than a typical office building.
Wyndham is comprised of a number of different hotel brands. The company works with their franchisees, who are located throughout the world, to help them differentiate their brand from others in the marketplace and accelerate business growth. Employees of Wyndham perform a variety of support tasks for their hotel franchisees, from day-to-day operations to longer-range growth initiatives.
The event started with great buffet food and networking, then a presentation by Brenda about the Wyndham design parameters, next the panelists gave their insight into the project, and concluded with a full tour of the building with the group broken out into smaller groups. The group of panelists, including Scott Chrisner (LEED consultant -- Chrisner Group), Gabe Sasso (Construction Manager -- Gale Construction), and Frank Campana (Project Leader -- Wyndham) was moderated by Brenda Nyce-Taylor (Interior Design -- Gensler).
